Joe Watson Vaughn married Viola Ethel Jobe, daughter of Wal Walter Jobe and Eunice Ida Mullins, on 26 November 1926 at Plainview, Hale County, Texas. Joe Watson Vaughn died on 20 March 1991 at Quail Creek Nursing Center, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, at age 87.^1,2 He was buried on 23 March 1991 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Swisher County, Texas; Section C, Lot 252.
