     Ida M. Branson was the daughter of William Branson and Martha Cooper.

     Margareth Holtzclaw was born on 29 March 1634 at Westfalen, Prussia, Germany. She was christened on 29 March 1634 at Westfalen, Prussia, Germany. She was the daughter of Johann Or Johannes Holtzklau and Hebel Habel Holtzclaw.

     (?) Stipp was the daughter of Fredrick Stipp and Catharine Branson. (?) Stipp married (?) Wood.

     Natalie Jane Sheplor is the daughter of Gordon Gunter Sheplor and Norma Jane Tandy.

     John Borden was born on 5 September 1640 at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island. He was christened in September 1640 at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island. He was the son of Richard Borden and Joan Fowle. John Borden married Mary Earle, daughter of Ralph Earle and Joan Savage, on 25 December 1670 at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island. John Borden died on 4 June 1716 at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island, at age 75. He was buried at Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island.

     Samuel Uhl was born on 2 November 1832 at Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Archibald Uhl and Leah Flickinger. Samuel Uhl married Eleanor F. Branson, daughter of Thomas A. Branson and Louisa C. Cole, on 24 December 1862 at Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.
     Samuel Uhl Lived in Maryland till 1854, moved to gold fields of California. Moved to Texas in 1858, settled in Cedar Hill, Dallas County. He associated himself with Major Penn in the sheep growing industry. About this time he and two of his brothers made three trips to Illinois and return driving back each time a flock of good Illinois sheep. In one flock there were more than 1,000 sheep. The trips were made horseback with the money carried in belts hidden beneath their clothing. When the war between the states broke out, he served in Company F, Twelfth Texas Cavalry until the end of hostillites. During the war he was married to Miss Ellen Branson of Wheatland, who made that community her home until her death in 1907

At 22, Samuel passed over the Rockies to try his fate in the gold fields. he stayed 3 years, returning by ship thru the Isthmus of Panama. February 1858, he settled near Dallas, Texas on a farm. In 1862, he married Eleanor Branson and had 11 children. He served 4 years in the Civil War (might have been a Confederate since Texas was a Confederate State). He did not know of his family history until he was 69 years of age and found that his grandfather, Samuel was descended from Peter the Immigrant and Jacob Derr. ? his grandfather would have been Jacob Derr not Samuel!

12th Regiment, Texas Cavalry (Parson's Mounted Volunteers)
12th Cavalry Regiment was organized with about 940 men in August, 1861, by Colonel W.H. Parsons. Most of the men were from Hempstead, Fairfield, Georgetown, and Waxahachie, and Ellis and Hill counties. This unit served in Hawes' and Steele's Brigade, Trans-Mississippi Department and skirmished the Federals in Arkansas and Louisiana. During 1865 it was in Northern Texas guarding approaches from the Indian Territory. The regiment was included in the surrender on June 2. Its commanders were Colonel William H. Parsans, Lieutenant Colonels Andrew B. Burleson and John W. Mullen, and Majors Locklin J. Farrar and E. W. Rogers. He and Eleanor F. Branson appeared on the census of 30 July 1870 at Precinct 2, Dallas County, Texas. Samuel Uhl and Eleanor F. Branson appeared on the census of 14 June 1880 at Enumeration District 66, Justice Precinct 5, Dallas County, Texas. Samuel Uhl and Eleanor F. Branson appeared on the census of 8 June 1900 at Precinct 5, Lancaster, Dallas County, Texas. Samuel Uhl appeared on the census of 30 April 1910 at Justice Precinct 5, Dallas County, Texas. He appeared on the census of 6 January 1920 at Justice Precinct 5, Lancaster, Dallas County, Texas.²

     Sue Ellen Uhl was born on 2 October 1863 at Dallas County, Texas. She was the daughter of Samuel Uhl and Eleanor F. Branson. Sue Ellen Uhl died in 1945.

     Addie Corilla Uhl was born on 20 April 1865 at Dallas County, Texas. She was the daughter of Samuel Uhl and Eleanor F. Branson. Addie Corilla Uhl married Joseph L. Bartlett in 1902.
